Setting up our energy efficient "chemical destruct system" required a considerable investment of time and money. Applying modern technology to this system minimizes the generation of waste product, and guarantees proper disposal of all product waste resulting from our processes. Hard Chrome

Paragraph 1 Image Dixie's hard chrome plating capability offers Design Engineers an assurance unprecedented in this industry ... capabilities such as some of the largest plating tanks in the United States. Dixie Electroplating has been providing Hard Chrome plating since the 1930s. With some of the largest Hard Chrome plating tanks in the United States. Our capabilities allow us to take on the difficult jobs that our competitors can't.
Unlike many of our competitors we also specialize in Hard Chrome plating I.D. Components. We have the expertise to construct Internal Auxillary anodes to precisely Hard Chrome plate your internal compenents to meet your requirements. And a thorough knowledge of crafting plating fixtures that permits extreme accuracy in controlling the location and thickness of hard chrome deposits.

A major application of hard chrome plating is the salvaging of worn or mismachined parts to restore the part to it's original tolerances. Careful preparation of the base metal's surface is critical for assuring outstanding plating adhesion. The plating process is dependent upon the type of metal and its surface condition, while the plating's main attribute to wear resistance is its low coefficient of friction which means less drag and therefore less wear generated as the parts rub together. Oil exploration and production equipment of various types are in the "field" with many of their component parts hard chrome plated to extend in-service life and reduce costly down-time. Some hydraulic equipment utilizes hard chrome plated shafting to extend service life in corrosive environments.
