Corr-Wear

Paragraph 1 ImageSchumacher Company has developed a unique Sulfamate Nickel based process Corr-Wear™. Basic Sulfamate Nickel deposits are only 22-26RC Hardness as plated. Our proprietary Corr-Wear™ process is 48-52 RC Hardness as plated with the same great corrosion protection as standard Sulfamate Nickel deposits.

Our Corr-Wear process is a Compressively stressed hard Nickel deposit with high tensile strength and much better wear and abrasion protection than standard Sulfamate Nickel deposits. A very high plating efficiency allows closer plating tolerance thickness control. Schumacher Company has large capabilities and can apply our Corr-Wear process to O.D. and I.D. components.

Hard Chrome

Paragraph 1 Image Schumacher Company has seventy-five years of Hard Chrome plating knowledge and expertise. With some of the largest Hard Chrome plating tanks in the United States, our capabilities allow us to take on the difficult jobs that our competitors can’t.
Unlike many of our competitors we also specialize in Hard Chrome plating I.D. components. We have the skills to construct internal auxillary anodes to precisely Hard Chrome plate your internal components to meet customer requirements.
In addition to its hardness, Hard Chrome has the added advantage of an extremely low coefficient of friction. Only one third of the force is required to slide a Hard Chrome plated block across a cast iron surface as compared to steel block.
A Hard Chrome plated surface tends not to seize, gall, or cold weld to another metal surface when the two are rubbed together under pressure.
Due to its non-galling tendency and its low coefficient of friction, Hard Chrome performs well on parts moving in contact with other parts and surfaces subjected to abrasive and corrosive wear from metallic or nonmetallic surfaces.

Electroless Nickel

Paragraph 1 Image Electroless Nickel Plating is a process for depositing a Nickel alloy from aqueous solutions onto a substrate without the use of electric current. Electroless Nickel differs therefore from electro plating which depends upon an external source of direct current to reduce Nickel ions in the elecrolyte to Nickel metel on the substrate. Electroless Nickel Plating is a chemical process is a chemical process which reduces Nickel ions in solution to Nickel netal by chemical reduction.
Electroless Nickel has very unique properties such as thickness uniformity, hardness, extreme corrosion protection and its magnetic properties.

Schumacher Company has some of the largest High Phosphorous Electroless Nickel plating tanks and capacity in the United States. We also have the expertise to provide specialized masking and selectively plate only the areas you need to meet your part requirements.

Manganese Phosphate

Paragraph 1 ImageSchumacher's Manganese Phosphate anti-friction coating is designed to produce a heavy, thisk, uniform Manganese Phosphate coating on iron and steel surfaces.
Schumacher's Manganese Phosphate anti-friction coating readily absorbs and retains substantial amounts of oils and lubricants. This important anti-friction feature results in excellent wear-restant coatings for subh applications as gears, threads, pistion rings, camshafts, and bearings.
